FIELDSTONE WAY
Wellesley, MA
In every sense of the word, the site plan for Fieldstone Way knits together 44 homes in three small neighborhoods while setting aside five acres for conservation protection on this 12-acre parcel. Each neighborhood offers distinctive architecture, welcoming front porches, private outdoor spaces, and well-appointed streetscapes.
A common entry road winds to either side of the Village Green which features a small fieldstone cottage original to the property and a pergola shaded patio for community gathering. To the rear of the property a section of the common road was used to incorporate a traditional European woonerf, a shared-street, distinguished with specialty paving, substantial granite benches and street trees.
Beyond the homes, a meandering footpath leads through a meadow and conservation areas to the Wellesley Trail network on the Sudbury Aqueduct Path.
