Ian George

Landscape Designer

Ian joined Ryan Associates in 2021 as a landscape designer. He provides assistance during all phases of the design process, including project graphics and construction documentation. He is interested in projects focused on disaster mitigation, adaptive re-use, recreation and large-scale land management.

Ian holds a degree in studio art from Skidmore College, and earned his MLA at RISD where he completed his thesis on infrastructure for fire mitigation. Ian brings years of experience working with materials and processes, having spent a decade in the Hudson Valley in New York building furniture and fabricating fine art. He honed his skills at Polich Tallix and Workshop Art Fabrication, and shared a studio with fellow artists in Beacon, NY.
